Based on 315 reviewsCapital Sweet and Samosa is widely praised for its authentic-tasting samosas, which strike a balance between crispiness and flavor without being overly oily or expensive. Customers appreciate the affordability, often highlighting value deals that make it a popular choice for both casual snacking and special occasions. The sweets, particularly jalebis, complement the savory offerings well, enhancing the overall experience. Although the menu is limited, its quality and taste consistently earn positive remarks. The small and cozy setting adds to its charm, making it a favored local spot despite some patrons traveling from afar. Overall, the brand is recognized for delivering satisfying, flavorful Indian snacks at reasonable prices in East York.
Their samosa is the closest to the authentic Indian samosa that I've had in Canada. Spicy yet not authentic, crispy yet puffy, not oily and neither expensive. The sweets are great too.
This a go-to place for quality, affordable samosas. The 3 for 1 price can't be beat (veg), especially when the taste is this good. Sure there are a few other places where you can get cheaper samosas, but the quality is definitely not on par. If I were a little closer to this place, I'd definitely be here a lot more often. But alas, I usually reserve my orders for dinners or potlucks. Ps: the fish also comes highly recommended; is made fresh and served right out of the pan!!
Small and sweet place with limited but interesting and tasty snacks and sweets. Samosa & a must try. They are tasty and affordable. Excellent with a cup of coffee or tea.
Loved the samosa, my friend got crazy nostalgic. The chutney was good too! Surely gonna come again for the samosas, no wonder why people just come for the samosa, it got almost sold out within 15 minutes
I drive a fair distance just for their samosas and jalebis! Delicious! MOST importantly...the price is reasonable in this unreal economy!
The best samosas in East York! The best prices: 2 for 1 veggie samosa and have an insane dessert collection! Must visit!
This place is always a go to when buying samosas for my family on the go. They’re halal, affordable, and it gets really busy during Ramadan close to iftar time so make sure you go early! The lines are definitely worth it though, and they have an amazing sweet/spicy sauce.
Listen. Don’t worry about any of these haters. These are the best veggie samosas in Toronto period. Golden brown crispy crust, generous balanced stuffing, perfect size. Warning - very addictive. I have full hallucinatory cravings for the baklava. It’s too good I can’t even describe here sorry. Best baklava I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. Pakora is good too. And I kid you not - it is HARD to spend more than 10 here. Thank you to the family that runs this place.
